CHECK OUT THIS  4 PIECE ROCK-INDIE BAND FROM NAGALAND.  PLAYING AT THE GREAT HORNBILL INTERNATIONAL ROCK CONTEST WHICH WILL BE THER DEBUT LIVE SHOW!!!

MASSIVE  METAL  INDIA - We would love to take you back to when you started as a band. For those who don’t know, (band’s name), How did it come together? What is that made you decide on the name of (band’s name) and what story does it have behind them? Who are your members and what role do they have in the band?

-         We The Giants is a project band consisting of musicians from various bands teaming up to try and play something different, it all started when working in a studio for a project, ended up forming a band. We wanted the band name to represent something bigger than us which would give us more reason to work harder in order to live up to the name, hence the name “We The Giants”

The band members are:
-         Meyasunep Imchen (Bassist of INCIPIT)
-         Yangkum Jinger (Drummer of INCIPIT)
-         Lima Mongro (Guitarist of CLUELESS ATTENTION)
-         Kevi Pucho (Vocalist/Proprietor of ELEMENT INDIE RECORDS)

-         Band manager:
-         Lima Mongro & Kevi Pucho

MMI - We have 28 bands on list and the country witnesses’ bands coming up every year. What sets you apart and makes you different? Who are your favourite bands and influences? And why?
-          The band is an Indie Rock band, so we are given with limitless space to create the music that is beyond our arbitrary thoughts…Coz after listening to our songs  people often ask “What Genre did you just play?” So we guess that sets us apart from the other bands…
-         Well when it comes to picking our favourite bands, we don’t have any specific  or particular band…but there are some few bands that have really influenced us like
-         Toe, , Tangled hair, the Jezabels, mutemath,john mayer,Kings of Leon, the 1975 etc…
-
MMI - A lot of people as a band focus on subjects like social and political aspect. But what subject apart from the ones mentioned above do you have a keen interest in? What current messages do you convey which is important for the youth of today?
-         Well… The songs that we write are mostly about love and the lines between the reality and the spiritual world
“We make mistakes now
We fail we try now
We live our life loud
Until we make it
Still we stand tall
Till the break of dawn
We cry it out loud
We’re just a young heart
We’re just a young heart”

This is taken out from one of our song “Young Hearts” and this is what we want to convey to the youths of today.

MMI -  If someone is interested in your music, what would you tell them to expect from your music? What are your favourite track you guys have recorded and Why?
-         Expect the unexpected lol!!! …ummm we haven’t started recording yet coz we are still a new band…but we will be hitting the studio soon.

MMI -  As India is concerned in music industry, financial situations are hard for a band and it seems people give up on the search for their Dream. What do you think the Dream for your band is and are you searching for it?
 - As we mentioned earlier we are just a project band so we haven’t really set any plans, so as of now we are just going with the flow…

MMI -  Maybe this is your first time playing at HIRC, well If you had to name one of your favourite things that made you guys decide to register and play for the contest, what would it be and why?
-         The prize money is really tempting…hahaha!!! But we are more excited about the platform and the other bands that we will be sharing the stage with.

MMI - What do you feel has been the defining moment about Your Band?
-        Still waitng for it hahahah!!!!

MMI - Which shows, gigs or concerts have been a turning point for you as a band? Tell us a stage where you had the most fun and the worst too?
-Well as a band the hornbill auditions for Nagaland was our debut gig…so by default that will be our most fun n worst experience…

MMI - There are so many bands and young musicians today and the completion gets more and more every year. What advice do you have for musicians who want to make music their full time career?
-        “Always believe in yourself and your music”

MMI - Thank you so much for giving Massive Metal India this interview, is there anything you would like to add?
-         We the Giants thank you for this interview… “Long live Massive Metal India”
