The Contest has come to an end it’s time to learn who the
winner is of the Great Hornbill International Rock contest in 2013. Decisions
have been made and we are pleased to announce that .A big thanks and
congratulations to all the participatingbands, it was a truly impressive group of musicians who made it a
fantastic night and festival as well! In a tough competition at the Battle of
the Bands finale today, 10th Dec at Solidarity Park, the Winner of

The Hornbill crew had a tough decision, but in the end it was

They contest witnessed the biggest
crowds of the 4 days long event and is ended by a guest performance by the band
Divine Connection.
This year the winner
of the Contest will walk home (apart from the Official Cash Prize) with A recording
contract by VENUS, Mumbai. TSM is offering a sponsorship in the form of
scholarship worth ₹ 11lakhs which includes 3 months professional training with
accommodation and travel expenditure for free of cost for the winning band. Besides
they will be taking stage at a blue frog gig, Mumbai Pune tour, audio/video
recording and the list goes on...

with packages worth ₹ 5 lakh which includes video and audio recording and music
training at TSM, audio-video recording and lots more with accommodation and
travelling expenses for free.

This year HIRC was packed with various genres of bands from
all the four corner of the country and competition was very obviously set to be
bigger and better than ever! This year the bands on stage forced the audience
despite the freezing cold weather to pull out their hands shoved in the
pockets, jump with the beats and have fun with Music. The aim of the Hornbill
International Rock Contest is Simple- to discover new bands and new music, and
give the deserving winners a shot of fame, fortune and exposures. T he Audition
flagged off on the 6th of December, 2013 which lasted for 3 days. The
Participating Bands confronted with The Best of the best Bands from the Country
and the Globe as well. Indeed it was a tough decision for the judges’ panel to
bring out the best 9 bands out of the total for the grand finale. This year the
packages of the winner are massive, the attention from the audience and media
is enormous, and the bands are just Awesome!!
