‘Rock O Phonix
2014 @ IIT Guwahati ’, the national semi-professional band contest due this
February (1st weekend) is back again. Announcing prizes over INR 2,00,000 ,
it’s time we turn the hourglasses upside down. In addition, finalists shall be
part of the first ever, 6 hour marathon college-concert, and with the prospect
to headline for an international act, you might get just a little more wanting.
Not to mention, with the explosive 20,000 watts of raw sound-blast and the music
loving crowd of North-East, its popularly known as the Holy Grail of Rock.
Recognizing you as a formidable band across the present music scene and an
upcoming talent, we would like to extend this invitation to you to register for
Rock O Phonix 2014. There are no registration fees. Registrations are open
until December 25th. We shall be announcing the shortlisted bands for prelims
by last week of December.
Genre is no bar. We are encouraging more versatile brand of music.This year,
Rocko will specially try to put together a lineup of bands that have found
their own original sound or are in the process of finding it. If you think you
