Exclusive Interview with We The Giants (1st Runners-up Hornbill International Rock Contest)

Massive Metal India- Hi We The Giants, Congratulations on your Massive achievement and thanks for taking the time to chat with Massive Metal India! Well as a winner now, it’s almost unthinkable, but somewhere I suppose, someone may not know We The Giants. Can you introduce yourself and your band to our readers?

We The Giants- -Thank you and it’s our pleasure…

-         We The Giants is a Post-Indie Rock band consisting of musicians from various bands teaming up to try and play something different, it all started when working in a studio for a project, ended up forming a band. We wanted the band name to represent something bigger than us which would give us more reason to work harder in order to live up to the name, hence the name “We The Giants”

The band members are:

-         Meyasunep Imchen (Bassist)

-         Yangkum Jinger (Drummer)

-         Lima Mongro (Guitarist)

-         Kevi Pucho (Vocalist)

Massive Metal India- So, as a winner of the Great hornbill International Rock Contest 2013, what do you have to say to your fans and Music Enthusiast across the country and the globe as well?

WTG- First of all we would like to thank everyone who supported us from the beginning...it was an overwhelming experience just to see and know how much people appreciate our music, we just want to thank everyone and we hope you guys keep supporting our music coz we are what we are today because of you all...and we will try and continue to make good music...You guys are the real Rockstars... 

Massive Metal India- Can you describe Hornbill International Rock Contest from the experience and triumph you have just received? And at the end combine HIRC in just 3 words.

WTG - Wooo...1st runners up of Hornbill international rock contest!!!Just unbelievable...we are totally astounded by the experience, playing in front of thousands of people. Hornbill is such a prestigious event in the whole of India and it just got international, we are totally honored and privileged to be a part of it... "LONG LIVE HORNBILL"

Massive Metal India- Tell us something about the Band’s Influence, Interests and Messages you give as a band.

 WTG - Individually we all come from different influence and background musically so when it comes to the band's influence we are pretty blurred... but there are some few bands that have really intrigued us in making music, bands like- Toe, Tangled hair,The Jezabels,Mutemath,John mayer,Kings of  Leon, The 1975 and so on...

WTG - Its Confidential!!! naaaahhhh...there are no secrets... just work hard and practice, practice and more practice

Massive Metal India- Did you ever thought to be a winner of this Contest? If Yes/No, Why?

WTG- Honestly yes, coz that’s the very reason why we entered the contest.

Massive Metal India- What has been the Best moment of the Band in the Music Event apart from the Winning Moment?

WTG- Experiencing new genres of music and meeting people who loves music as much as we do

Massive Metal India- Do you have any comments for the crowds and audience in your state Nagaland?

WTG- Simply amazing...The most beautiful crowd ever...
